Research Scientist, University of Luxembourg
Marjan Skrobot's research concerns security modelling, analysis, and design of cryptographic algorithms and protocols. Marjan gained his first research experience in symmetric cryptography and provable security at the KU Leuven, providing the security analysis of two SHA-3 hash competition finalists. Later, he pivoted his research toward public-key cryptography, focusing on the design and security analysis of real-world key exchange protocols that employ password-based authentication deployed in ePassports, IoT, and WPA3. The current focus of his research includes topics related to the migration to quantum-secure cryptography.
